About the job

 

We are now looking for Configuration Manager within IT Service & Asset Management area.

In this role you will be part of a global team and you will be located in IT Service & Asset Management.

As Configuration Manager in a global context you will actively contribute in securing that CMDB has accurate data and is user friendly. Especially for Software area. Together with the Digital Product Owners you will propose and work on improvements. You will be also engaged with strategic initiatives to ensure CMDB can deliver the required functionality within initiative timeframes. 

You will work closely within Volvo with ITSM Capability Leads, CMDB Stakeholders,  CMDB Class Owners, Software Asset Managers, CMDB Design Authority which includes Enterprise Architects and with technical specialists within external partner. You will also be responsible for knowledge sharing.

Responsibilities

  • Manage service configuration management data for a large, rapidly evolving digital product team.
  • Manage stakeholders and data quality for software area.
  • Ensure that service configuration management data drives measurable practice improvements for incident, problem, change, release, service availability reporting, event, and alert automation.
  • Ensure that KPIs are reported and that their targets are met:
  • Verify completeness of software installations
  • Investigate discrepancies against Inventory sources (Flexera/ADDM/SCCM)
  • Verification of Last use dates on software instances
  • Verification of binding between Software Package (former Faros package) and discovered software
  • Control and monitor Software ownership
  • Manage software catalog for the purpose of procurement
  • Prepare and keep up to date the service configuration management-related practices and related documentation.
  • Identify improvement needs.
  • Perform UAT for improvements on the ServiceNow platform.

Competencies

Required Competencies

  • Experience working in an IT delivery organization.
  • Experience with Agile implementation of ServiceNow ITSM.
  • Experience on the ServiceNow platform (CMDB/Software area).
  • Experience of collaborating with external suppliers.
  • Deep knowledge of Service Configuration Management practices.
  • Strong ability to manage in a complex and dispersed environment.
  • Dedication to improving quality and effectiveness.
  • Good business understanding or proven ability to learn quickly.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Service, project, and results orientation, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Business analysis skills.
  • Proven leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in English.
