What you will do
We are looking for a skilled Quality Assurance Automation Engineer to join our team and work on the POS (Parts Order Services) project. This initiative focuses on developing comprehensive end-to-end automated tests using Robot framework for both API and UI, aimed at ensuring the robustness and reliability of internal workflows and system functionalities. As part of our Quality Assurance team, you will play a key role in delivering high quality solutions that support critical operations within the organization.
Your future team
Parts Order Services (POS) is a new product designed to provide solutions for spare parts dealers connected to the Volvo warehouse. It acts as a middleware platform, enabling seamless integration between various systems. After the current MVP phase, the product is intended to rollout across the Truck Division, Business Area, and Group Functions. The system is built on Kubernetes, using a microservices architecture in Java, and primarily employs REST APIs with XML-based message queues.
Key Technologies and Tools are:
- Testing frameworks: Robot framework, Python
- CI/CD: Azure DevOps
- Automation approach: API and UI

We are now looking to strengthen our team in Quality Assurance area. You will be responsible for both Automation and Manual testing of API and UI, validating new requirements, enhancements and maintaining test documentation, create and execute test plans. While we are looking for a person with core skills in the automation and manual testing area, we are also looking for a person with growth mindset, "can do" attitude, and teamwork skills.
Technical skills
- Expertise in Robot framework using Python, particularly for writing automated E2E tests
- Experienced in API and UI automation testing for web application.
- Proven track record of working with Azure Pipelines to set up automated test workflows
- Proficient in integration testing, functional, regression and exploratory testing.
- ISTQB testing principles, Test plan, Test Strategy, QA Metrics and process, Bug tracking etc.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in a Scrum team environment
- SQL
Nice to have:
- Basic knowledge of Azure Cloud services
- Any programming language (Java, C#, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript)
- Basic knowledge of performance testing and DevSecOps
Soft skills:
- Full proficiency in English
- Being open-minded and honest, a team player who appreciates fun at work
- Good communication & presentation skills
