Senior Data Analyst

What you will do

As a Senior Data Analyst, you will work closely with our business teams to understand their needs and transform them into actionable, fit-for-purpose data products. You will take ownership of these products, from data collection and analysis to visualization and reporting, ensuring they support agreed requirements.

Your role will involve:

• Collaborating with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into meaningful data solutions.
• Designing, developing, and maintaining reports and dashboards using SQL, Excel, and Power BI.
• Ensuring that data products are accurate, reliable, and aligned with business objectives.
• Acting independently to prioritize tasks, propose solutions, and drive improvements.
• Communicating insights and recommendations clearly to stakeholders, making data actionable.
• Supporting data governance by ensuring quality, consistency, and security of data.

Your future team

You will report directly to the Manager, Data Quality and Products, Europe within VFS D&IT and will be assigned to a stable, global cross-functional team. Qualifications likely required to be successful in this role include:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Data Analyst, ideally with Sales or Finance data.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, Excel, and Power BI; familiarity with other data tools is a plus.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize work, and deliver fit-for-purpose data products.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Experience translating stakeholder needs into actionable insights and visualizations.
• Knowledge of data warehousing, ETL processes, and cloud-based platforms (Azure preferred) is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to present data in an understandable and actionable way
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
• Solid understanding of statistical techniques and data modeling is a plus
