What you will do
Vehicle Optimized Service Planning (VOSP) team cannot wait to welcome their new Senior Software Engineer to support the digital transformation.
VOSP application is a service scheduling system that makes it possible to tailor an optimized service schedule for individual vehicles according to their specification and transport conditions. VOSP maximizes vehicle uptime through better planning of workshop visits and more efficient use of workshop time.
We are on the journey towards an extensive modernization of the application moving from a monolith structure to microservices architecture. We are also rewriting vital features to simplify the business flow in application.

- be a member of Volvo Trucks and Buses aftermarket team,
- become a recognized specialist of Java to share good practices,
- be a mentor for other developers,
- have impact on development of crucial product for Volvo Group.
Work location
Volvo office is located at Mydlana street in Wrocław, close to Monopolowa bus stop. We work in a hybrid model, 50% presence in the office is expected.
Perfect candidate profile
We are looking for candidate who has:
- at least 7 years of experience with Java 8+,
- good understanding of unit testing (JUnit),
- knowledge of Spring MVC pattern,
- gathered hands-on experience with relational databases and ORM (Hibernate, SQL),
- understanding of containerization concept (Docker)
- practical knowledge of microservices architecture
Also, any of the following will be an additional asset:
- DevSecOps skills (Azure Cloud, JBOSS),
- knowledge of front-end technologies (Backbone, Marionette, React)
