Solution Engineer

What you will do

As a Solution Engineer, you will support and develop VFS invoicing and document management platforms. The role combines first-line support, business analysis, and hands-on solution engineering. You will work closely with business stakeholders, Digital & IT colleagues, stable teams, and external suppliers to understand needs, translate them into clear requirements, support daily operations, and contribute to continuous improvement and solution development.

Together with your colleagues at VFS and across the Volvo Group, you will take responsibility in the following areas:

• Provide first-line support for invoicing and document management platforms, including issue analysis, coordination, follow-up, and communication with users and stakeholders.
• Act as a business analyst by gathering needs, clarifying requirements, documenting processes, and helping translate business expectations into solution improvements.
• Support the development, testing, release, and maintenance of invoicing and document management solutions.
• Work with stable teams, solution engineers, architects, integration engineers, business analysts, and external suppliers to deliver reliable and practical solutions.
• Contribute to continuous improvements, change requests, incident resolution, user guidance, and service quality follow-up.
• Communicate clearly with business stakeholders and Digital & IT teams, ensuring transparency on priorities, progress, risks, and decisions.

Qualifications likely required to be successful in this role include:

• Experience in application support, solution engineering, business analysis, or a similar Digital & IT role.
• Ability to support users, analyze issues, coordinate fixes, and follow up until resolution.
• Good understanding of business requirements, process documentation, testing, and change requests.
• Interest in invoicing, document management, financial services, or related business processes.
• Knowledge of Peppol, e-invoicing standards, or invoicing solution standards is an advantage.
• Technical understanding of integrations, data flows, and software delivery.
• Strong communication, collaboration, analytical thinking, and ownership skills.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
