What you will do

As the Technical Support Specialist for our Industrial business, you will be responsible for the development of the Volvo Penta Dealer Network within WA, SA, VIC and NT. Your focus areas will be technical support, competency development, warranty & campaigns, service agreements, customer satisfaction and parts growth.  

 

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to: 

  • Provide technical support regarding mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults within the Volvo Penta Oceania service network 
  • Manage and administer Argus service requests 
  • Administer, audit, and supervise warranty & campaigns in accordance with company guidelines  
  • Continuously improve the performance of Volvo Penta Dealers using Vodia, Warranty UCHP, and Argus systems 
  • Promote and market Penta’s total offer, including Parts & Product Management, Service Agreements, Price Management, and Aftersales 
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers and dealer networks  
  • Perform Service Market audits throughout the Dealer network  
  • Manage customer satisfaction surveys and compile monthly reports and analysis  
  • Oversee unit registrations and ensure quality  
  • Assist with training dealer personnel and provide onsite technical support. 

Your future team

Reporting to the Head of Mobile Power Solutions Oceania, you will work in a team of 7, including BDM's, an Application Engineer, Key Account Manager and a Parts BDM. This role can be based either in our Perth or Gold Coast offices.

Who are you?

We believe that your behaviours and characteristics are just as important as your technical skills, so ideally you will have: 

  • A trade qualification in the automotive, construction or marine industry  
  • Strong experience within the heavy vehicle technical sector Industrial or Marine Engineering sector is desirable   
  • Strong experience in working and building relations with Dealers   
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills   
  • Self-Driven and motivated with a customer oriented mind set   
  • Excellent computer skills particularly in the Microsoft Office suite 
  • High level data analysis skills   
  • Strategic planning competence and the ability to reach targets and objectives.
